Michael Rollins at Timeout Human Performance became a huge part of my journey this season, and it all started with a recommendation from our mutual friend, Blair Brown at Monarch Center for Longevity and Vitality, in March of 2025. By early April, Michael and I were working together, and from the very beginning, he introduced me to a completely different approach than anything I had experienced before.

After our initial assessment, Michael told me he wanted to help me reach my goals. True to who he is, he immediately brought together the right people to help make that happen. Before long, Dr. Aaron Stern at Ketchum Chiropractic and Tim Hanna at Training in Motion had joined the team, all working toward a system Michael believed could help me become a stronger and more complete Downhill and Super-G athlete. The work challenged me in ways I hadn’t experienced before. It combined training methods, technology, and concepts that were completely new to me, while helping me develop a much better understanding of how my body moves, performs, and recovers.

One conversation with Michael has always stuck with me. Early on, he asked how much time I wanted to find in my skiing. I remember saying half a second. His response was, “We’re going to find four.” At the time, that felt nearly impossible. It wasn’t. Having someone believe in me at that level gave me a tremendous amount of confidence heading into the season.

When I left for Chile for my first preseason training camp in August, Michael remained a constant part of the process. One of the biggest concepts he introduced me to was brain speed. I still remember him telling me that when you’re skiing 75 to 90 mph, it should feel calm and controlled. For the first time in my career, I actually experienced that. There were moments in Chile where I felt like I was skiing 35 mph, only to look at the speed gun and realize I was moving more than twice that fast. The speed had slowed down in my mind, and it changed the way I approached my skiing.

The results spoke for themselves. Throughout the year, I earned my first Europa Cup podium, multiple World Cup Top-30 results, a World Cup Top-20 finish, and averaged 3.3 seconds faster per race than the previous season. One of the highlights came in Tarvisio, where I earned the Bibbo Award after moving up 19 positions, starting with bib 42 and finishing 23rd. More importantly, I gained confidence in my skiing and a deeper understanding of what I’m capable of at the highest level.

What means the most to me is how Michael did all of this. As an independent athlete, resources are limited, yet Michael donated countless hours of his time simply because he believed in me and what I was capable of achieving. He saw potential in me before many others did, and he continues to invest his time, energy, and expertise because he genuinely believes in the journey we’re on.

I am incredibly grateful for everything Michael did for me this season. His support, guidance, generosity, and belief in me had a lasting impact, and I’ll always appreciate the role he played in helping make this season possible.

With gratitude,

Haley Cutler
